The touring nine wasted little time in tallying, as they crossed the dish once in the first frame for an early lead. But, the Diamond bats cracked four aces in the round, including a round trip scamper by Allen. His club mates continued to add to the lead in the second, third, and fourth frames. Behind their blazing ashes and skillful catches, the local nine built a 19 - 1 advantage. Many of the Eagle ballists struck well on this warm afternoon. Allen, Rohloff, and R. Perkins collected three knocks, Jones, Kroll, S. Perkins and Olson all hit for two knocks. Like Allen, the young Olson lad made a complete circuit on one of his swings. The teams will play again in the pasture south of Greenbush in several weeks.
