The Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008, signed into law on October 3rd, renews a temporary provision that allows donors age 70 1/2 or older to make a direct, tax-free rollover of up to $100,000 from a traditional or Roth IRA to a qualified chartiable organization such as Old World Wisconsin Foundation - but only in 2008 or 2009.
