![]() Adopt An Animal Of Old World Wisconsin - Anyone can "adopt" one of our historic breed animals for a year. Individuals, schools, scouts, families, businesses, organizations, and classrooms can sponsor their favorite animal for one year. By adopting, you can share in preserving historic breeds. Historic breed animal adoptions make great gifts too! Adoption funds are used to provide improvements to the animals' 19th century habitats, winter quarters, environmental enhancements for animals, health management, feed, training for use in educational interpretation, & acquisition of heirloom breeds of animals for the collection. Our historic breed collection receives the best nutritious food, medical care and attention. However, costs of daily care consume a large part of the museum's animal budget. When an adoption is done in your name, or someone to whom you send a gift, you may be assured that the animal you've chosen will receive the full benefit of your contribution. Animals Are Teachers! Animals teach visitors about the vital role they played in 19th Century Wisconsin. More than 50,000 children - most visiting Old World Wisconsin each year through school tours - learn first-hand about how immigrants and settlers depended on their animals for survival in 1800's Wisconsin. Read More about our animals up for adoption and see a list of the "Proud Parents" in the Adopt an Animal Program. >> Adopt an Animal | Comm. Bricks | Memorials | Plowshare |
