Hogmanay Holiday
Immigration of Scots and Scotch-Irish settlers to Wisconsin reached its peak during the 1860s and 1870s. At that time, there was no official celebration of Christmas in Scotland. Instead, Scots made merry at their Hogmanay parties, when they welcomed in the New Year with fireworks, feasting, and song.

Join the fun at the 32nd annual Holiday Dinner, featuring Scottish food, music, and customs. Delight in a performance by the Caledonian Scottish Dancers, accompanied by the pipes. Feast on a delicious four-course meal. Learn the tradition of first-footing and much more!

Evening seatings available December 5th, 6th, 12th, and 13th and Matinee on December 6th. Reservations required. Read More | Purchase Tickets >

Welcome to Old World Foundation
Old World Foundation is a local, independent non-profit organization that supports the special projects and programs of Old World Wisconsin Historic Site. We call our supporters Friends of Old World Wisconsin. Like a loyal and dependable friend, Old World Foundation provides Old World Wisconsin with helpful assistance. Since its founding in 1984, OWF has given $7 million in gifts that have improved the visitor experience and preserved Old World Wisconsin:

Major exhibits like the Village Livery Stable (construction begins spring 2015), Thomas General Store, Caldwell Hall, and Pleasant Ridge.

Improvements to existing exhibits, like St. Peter's alter rail conservation, Schulz Farm thatched roofs, UV-blocking window film, paint, and more.

New programming: cycles for Catch Wheel Fever!, special event supplies, day camp, workshops and vintage base ball.

Additional farm animals, their feed and care, and behind-the-scenes facilities.

Items for the gardeners, from tiny seeds to a van to transport plants and equipment.

Marketing to spread the word about Old World Wisconsin far and wide.

And much, much more!

Why? Old World Foundation is passionate about Old World Wisconsin. Its inspiring stories and engaging exhibits deserve to be enjoyed today and preserved for future generations. Old World Wisconsin is a State Historic Site, owned and operated by the Wisconsin Historical Society. Private support is crucial to providing items outside of the site's operating budget that would otherwise go unfunded.

The Foundation is a private 501(c)(3) charity, entirely separate from Old World Wisconsin and the State of Wisconsin. With your help, we can preserve Old World Wisconsin's treasures, grow its audience, and create exciting experiences for all to enjoy.
